Dr. Sharada M is the Founder, Chief Surgeon, and Consultant Ophthalmologist at Drikveda Eye Hospital. She established Drikveda with the vision of offering eye care that is ethical, technology-driven, and deeply patient-centric.

She completed her MBBS from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, graduating as a meritorious student. She went on to pursue her M.S. in Ophthalmology from Minto Eye Hospital, a Regional Institute of Ophthalmology affiliated with Bangalore Medical College, where she gained rigorous academic training and hands-on experience in managing a high volume of diverse and complex ophthalmic cases.

Her commitment to service led her to continue at Minto as a Senior Resident, where she deepened her surgical skills and developed a strong sense of empathy and compassion through her work with underserved patients. She later joined Sri Krishna Sevashrama, a trust-run hospital, to continue delivering care to economically challenged communities.

To enhance her surgical expertise, Dr. Sharada completed:

• Advanced Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery training at M.M. Joshi Eye Hospital, a high-volume surgical center known for excellence in cataract care.
• Refractive Surgery training at Centre for Sight, Vadodara, under the mentorship of the pioneer of SMILE surgery in India.
• Medical Retina training at Susrut Eye Hospital, gaining proficiency in managing retinal vascular disorders, diabetic retinopathy, and macular diseases.

While her academic journey and clinical exposure were rich, her ultimate goal was clear — to create a space of her own — one that blends clinical excellence with integrity, technology with empathy. A space free from rigid hierarchies, outdated systems, and institutional limitations. That dream became reality with the founding of Drikveda Eye Hospital — a place where she could offer the care she truly believes in.
